Description: All original, vintage 1963 Fender Jazzmaster electric guitar in blonde finish.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings throughout. Lots of weather checking, play wear & surface scratches. Cigarette burn mark on the headstock No cracks, breaks or repairs though. Basically good, honest play wear for a nearly 50-year old guitar.
Weight: 8 lbs 4 oz.
Neck: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. This is not a slab board. Clay dot inlays. Original frets with no fret wear. Headstock decal is in great condition. Original Kluson Deluxe tuners. Neck date reads 4 FEB 63 B. Neck plate serial number is L01996. Neck is straight & the truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: No routes or other issues other than play wear. The blonde finish on the top of the body has a darker patina than on the back & sides, which are a bit lighter in color. Tortoise shell pickguard has no cracks, but is curved a little bit by the toggle switch & volume control knob. Bridge cover is missing.
Pickups: Original dual Fender Jazzmaster single coils with strong output. Bridge - 7.86K ohms. Neck - 7.87K ohms. electronics work fine. Original cloth wiring. Pots date to '61 & '63.
Set Up / Playability: The guitar has been professionally set up by our luthier & strung with a fresh set of Ernie Ball .10-.46 gauge Slinkys. The action & intonation have been adjusted & the frets polished, so the guitar is now in great playing condition. Original tremolo arm included.
Case: Original brown Fender hard shell case with gold interior included. The case is in good condition - all the latches work & the handle is still attached.
