UCLA is looking for people with COPD (Chronic bronchitis or emphysema) – Los Angeles

For a research study comparing the safety and effectiveness of 5 different doses of an experimental drug to placebo (inactive substance). You will receive free medication and be compensated for your time.

You may be eligible for the study if you

• Have been diagnosed with COPD
• Are between 40 and 80 years old
• Are not pregnant

Possible risks of the study drugs include increased heart rate, awareness of the heart beating, and shakiness.

Participation requires 8 visits to the clinic over about 7 weeks and involves physical exams, blood and urine samples, breathing tests, and an at home
