Exciting opportunity for a Sr. Developer with a major entertainment company.
Skills/Experience Required:
3 or more years experience in SQL coding, Oracle, Sybase, SQLServer (PL-SQL, Transact-SQL, T-SQL)
3 or more years experience in development using Visual Basic or Visual Studio
3 or more years experience working relational databases (Sybase ASE & IQ, Microsoft Sql Server, etc)
Heavy experience in ETL / EAI development & support (data transfer / transformation / system interfacing)
Experience with data modeling tools such as ERWIN or PowerDesigner
Thorough understanding of DataWarehouse architecture & design concepts
Experience with web based software design using ASP or .NET
Experience in the entertainment industry
Experience developing / supporting Financial and Reporting applications
Educational Requirements:
Bachelors Degree (preferable with an IT focus) or work experience equivalent
Job Description (Narrative Summary):
This position will be responsible for performing technical systems analysis and programming for a variety of financial applications utilized by the business community. He/she will work with the appropriate project lead and systems analyst to design, document, build, verify, deploy and troubleshoot software solutions based upon defined business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Design and document technical specifications based upon approved business requirements and functional specifications
Build new and/or modify existing software components as indicated by approved technical specifications, adhering to software development and Sarbanes Oxley standards and controls
Provide technical support for Systems Analyst in creation of business requirements and/or functional specifications
Support software environments for Production, User Acceptance Testing or Development by troubleshooting problems or issues within those environments
