Stable web based start-up seeks an experienced SQL DBA. Company is a successful; financially secure start up in the business of providing on-line legal information.
This is a fast paced work environment where you will have to juggle multiple tasks in a fun environment that promotes a balanced work/life lifestyle.
Qualifications:
-2+ years managing production Sql Server 2005 databases
-BS software engineering degree from an accredited university
-T Sql, DDL, XML and Xsd
- Experience with replication
-The fundamentals!
Responsibilities
-Keep the production databases running smoothly
-Create a strategy to effectively scale the database with additional hardware
-Optimize existing stored procedures, views, and functions
-Write new stored procedures, change caching policies, update schemas in conjunction with development needs
-Deploy upgrades to the database
-Manage the security associated with database connections and users
-Validate the backup strategy for the database
