About Laura:

I have worked as a writer for 15 years and as a script consultant and screenwriter for six plus years. I currently am working as an immigration attorney who specializes in asylum. Part of this work includes teaching law students how to write effectively, persuasively and creatively.

I write fiction, non-fiction, columns, magazine articles and have done investigative reporting. I am fluent in Spanish, having lived extensively in Latin America, and I have spoken Spanish exclusively to my daughter since she was a baby.
