About Mark:

My name is Mark and I am from the city of South Pasadena. Currently, I have just finished my last year working on a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering at UCLA and live in Culver City.

I have tutored Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Physics at iKnow Learning Center in Granada Hills and I am looking for tutoring closer to my residence.

The way I like to tutor is more of a teaching style where I go over important parts of the students current lesson or chapter and try to get them to understand the basic concepts and why they are important. After going over the basics, I like to go over example problems similar to the student's homework set. After solving these problems with the student I help the student through their homework and make sure any questions they have on the section are answered. I think it is crucial that the student understands the concepts behind each lesson because it leads to a better knowledge of the material and makes tests that much easier.
