Media Planning Supervisor
Independent Media Agency with offices in
new york and
california seeks a Media Planning Supervisor in their LA Office.
Responsibilities:
The Media Supervisor is expected to have an expert understanding of the client’s overall business and marketing objectives.
The Media Supervisor is the steward of the tactical planning and strategic media plan process and provides high-level strategic recommendations to the Account Director and senior media team and/or client.
Is expected to cross-sell and have an expert working knowledge of all media space (including digital, print, radio, TV, and OOH media) and available media research.
Must be proficient with Media tools and procedures (both media and inter-department).
Must have a deep understanding of the client’s budget and managing the media plan in accordance with that established budget is crucial.
The Supervisor is expected to be a business leader and partner in the client’s business; consistently engaged and contributing ideas and insights that will benefit our clients.
Must negotiate all media rates and added value.
The Supervisor will be responsible for all competitive runs and analysis.
Will be required to coordinate and communicate necessary points and tactics to a variety of Agency partners.
The Supervisor shall be responsible for maintaining and cultivating relationships with the client and creative partners.
The Supervisor is required to possess managerial skills, have excellent communication skills so as to be able to effectively explain their ideas to both the clients that have tasked them with their advertising and media
jobs and the media proprietors who will sell the media time and space as well as to more junior media planners.
Is required to be very creative and innovative and able to design feasible advertising campaigns that will communicate the intended message directly to the target audience.
Must be able to exercise quick thinking and have the resourcefulness to tackle problems as they come.
Experience and Qualifications:
5+ years experience in an agency and/or client media/marketing environment
Excellent verbal and written communications, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Proficiency in Media Planning and Analysis Software, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Detail-oriented, good follow-up skills, multi-tasker and able to work well under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
Experience writing and presenting POV’s, competitive decks, presentations
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Professional appearance and persona
Travel to the client will be required
Must be able to handle pressure well
Bachelor's Degree
