Position: General Counsel

Citysearch is looking for a smart and ambitious attorney to become Citysearch's General Counsel in our West Hollywood, CA headquarters. As General Counsel, the candidate would handle all aspects of Citysearch's legal needs, including:

* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
* Advising and supporting senior management
* Managing the Company's Intellectual Property
* Resolving and negotiating disputes
* Managing outside counsel with regard to litigation
* Advising the Company on Employment matters
* Supporting and advising business groups including business development, technology, and sales and marketing



The General Counsel reports directly to the CEO, and participates as a member of the Senior Management Team in strategically and tactically leading our growing company of over 400 employees. .



Requirements:



* JD from an accredited law school, with strong academic performance
* Licensed to practice in California
* 3+ years of experience in large or mid-sized law firm, preferably general corporate and transactional focused
* 2+ years of in house experience
* Excellent drafting skills
* Excellent communications and inter-personal skills
* Experience working for or with Internet/media companies
* Intellectual Property experience a plus
