Company is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Manager for Los Angeles (CA)
facility.

Using statistical analysis and KPIs, incumbent will manage maintenance for
rail equipment assets with a focus on improving safety, maintainability,
reliability and availability. Will lead a staff of Supervisors and
Maintenance personnel to integrate new processes and procedures to
accomplish an effective maintenance program designed for continual
improvement.

* Lead and develop the maintenance of team, including safety,
quality, proficiency, efficiency, motivation and budget;
* Use KPIs and statistical analysis to establish Root Cause
Analysis of failures or deficiencies and integrate corrective measures to
improve fleet performance;
* Establish maintenance plans and schedule maintaining
availability and reliability of fleet equipment in accordance with Federal
Railroad Administration regulations and customer requirements;
* Provide corrective solutions or alternative methods in the form
of Special Projects, Modifications, Overhaul and/or Capital Projects to
customer for approvals;
* Ensure Maximus MIS system is effectively utilized to provide
detailed information.


* A Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering or
Business;
* A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position;
* Experience in a leadership role combined with the ability to use
statistical analysis and key performance indicators to determine required
changes for improvement;
* Root Cause Analysis and Risk Management experience (asset);
* Strong technical knowledge of Diesel Locomotive;
* Strong technical knowledge of rolling stock fleet maintenance
and repair requirements;
* Knowledge of Federal Railroad Administration regulations;
* Knowledge of Kronos, SAP and Lotus Notes software (assets);
* Proficiency with English (written and spoken).
