Quiet neighborhood but close to all the LA sights! Beverly Hills, Santa Monica Beach, LACMA Museum, Culver City, Century City, Downtown and the new EXPO transit line. Minutes from the best shopping and dining LA has to offer.
This renovated guest apartment comes with private entrance, private bathroom with shower, hardwood floors, a spacious bedroom with a queen sized bed and a separate private living area with French doors that open to an organic vegetable garden. The "living" area has a comfy sleeper sofa suitable for one person (sleeping, seats 3-4), a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a microwave/convection oven, a sink/counter area, a toaster oven, and some basic cooking stuff so you can make simple meals. Enjoy the sunshine from your private deck with a view of the fountain and garden, which by the way also comes equipped with two super cute dogs (both mutts, 60 lbs and 35 lbs). Fast free wifi, easy parking, and the most convenient neighborhood in Los Angeles.
Neighborhood is very walkable -- walking distance to restaurants, stores, groceries, etc., as well as a number of synagogues and kosher restaurants. "Kitchen" area will be stocked with coffee, tea, some bottled water, and some staples. If you're into the "green" thing, there's a compost pile, recycling bins, organic veggies, and a clothes line available for use. I do work out of my home so I ask that guests be quiet and respectful when utilizing the shared outdoor spaces.
READ THIS TOO:
If your stay is longer than 30 days there is NO Hotel Tax.
However, for short term stays the nightly rate does not include Los Angeles City Hotel Tax (TOT) which is currently 14% of the room rate. We are registered with the city (not all hosts are) and so must comply with the laws. You pay the tax separately when you arrive and we pay the city. We don't add it into the nightly rate to keep your Roomorama service fee lower. It is cheaper for you to pay it directly when you arrive.
This also means that if you are thinking of staying for close to a month, it might actually be less expensive for you to book for an entire month, even if you leave before the month is up. Please contact me if this is relevant to you. Thanks.
Terms and conditions
I need to charge you a 14% tax, which is a "transient occupancy tax" that the City of LA requires. Goes straight to them. You can pay me cash or paypal upon your arrival.
The $35 cleaning fee goes straight to my cleaning lady.
The security deposit is because roomarama doesn't have any insurance. I'll probably never use it. I guess it would ease the pain if someone, say, swiped the tv. I wouldn't bother charging anyone for a lost key or a broken dish. So I guess we have to trust each other and the roomorama system.
In terms of pets, small to medium sized, fixed dogs will be considered. Please contact me -- my smaller dog gets along with all dogs, my bigger dog -- depends on the dog.
Check in/check out instructions
I need to meet you when you first come because I need to introduce you to the dogs. Who are very sweet and friendly once they know it's ok for you to be here. I live in the front part of the house. We just need to communicate before you arrive so I can be sure to be home. Check in and check out time are both flexible, but I put something in the system because I'm required to.
