2006 Yamaha YZF R1 – Los Angeles

2006 Yamaha R1 with only 7855 miles! Bike was ridden to/from work on the freeway, so the miles were pretty easy. This was my second sport bike I owned, my R6 was stolen when it was 12 days old! I purchased the bike in July of 2006, anticipating that I would be using it as a daily driver to/from workIt has been ridden 4 times in the last year, since I moved literally across the street from the base that i work on. This alone was not enough to prompt me to sell her, as this bike is awesome! It has been a career decision that has made up my mind to sell the bike. I am going to SEAL training now in a couple of months, and she'll be sitting for up to 2 years before I will have any real time to rideThis bike is great, looks great and hauls butt. I have rarely had this bike over 9000 RPM. The reason for this is that once you reach that threshold, it turns into a rocket. I do not recommend this bike for a beginner unless you have absolute control over yourself and know your limits. If you have kids and/or a wife, let me rephrase that - a wife you like - I advise you to look at something else
